Pacific IPCA Innovation Centre
The Pacific IPCA Innovation Centre supports Indigenous leadership in the establishment, governance, and management of Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) along the Pacific Coast of North, Central, and South America.
The Pacific IPCA Innovation Centre serves as a hub for research, education, training, and knowledge sharing, working in partnership with Indigenous Nations, Indigenous-led organizations, environmental organizations, academic institutions, all levels of government, and the private sector.
The Centre’s first satellite campus—the Clayoquot Campus—is located in Tla-o-qui-aht territory (Tofino, B.C.), with more physical and virtual campuses planned as part of a growing network.
Educational and knowledge-sharing programming will be offered through virtual, classroom, and land-based learning, designed and delivered in Ethical Space. This includes workshops, field schools, language and culture programs, productive retreats, conferences, and events.
