CICICA’s contributions to the Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area movement include:
Funding and grants for First Nations and IPCA-related initiatives across Vancouver Island.
Supporting the development of the Clayoquot Campus of the Pacific IPCA Innovation Centre.
Co-hosting and sponsoring the Westcoast IPCA Support Program and its flagship event, the Estuary to Old Growth Gathering (E2OG).
Sponsoring educational programming to advance professional development about IPCAs.
Providing honoraria to Indigenous knowledge holders and Elders who provide cultural guidance and leadership on IPCAs.
